Cloud Acceleration Technology

Every one of our global nodes features purpose-built, carrier-grade hardware to address specific requirements.

To support trillions of deliveries per day, each node must support wildly varying traffic loads and accommodate unexpected traffic spikes for customer events. With built-in Terabit capacity and multiple 10 Gigabit Ethernet links to transit providers, a highly customized and distributed routing and switching infrastructure is at the core of every node. Our highly fault tolerant design enables extremely high system uptime, ensuring end-users of content when they want it.

A fully meshed WAN optimization and acceleration network addresses bandwidth, latency and packet loss issues in real-time, while retrieving data from the customer’s origin server and delivering it to the end-user. We implement a variety of TCP acceleration techniques “as they happen” to the data-stream. This improves application responsiveness and gives LAN-like performance across the web for time-sensitive applications such as voice and video.

Every node features a best-of-breed application firewall to thwart attacks close to home. From distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks to standard port blocking, our hardware-based firewalling protects Cloud Leverage nodes as well as customer infrastructure without degrading throughput or application response times. This architecture provides multi-gigabit per second sustained security performance that meets the needs of any enterprise.

Global Network Operations

We manage our network and our infrastructure through our global NOC

Managing a global cloud performance network is no small task. Cloud Leverage operates a 24x7x365 Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) based in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. This location is securely positioned away from major metropolitan areas for added security. The GNOC features redundant utility power feeds with dual UPS and generators, redundant fiber connectivity to major peering points in Ashburn, VA and Atlanta, GA as well as dual-factor authentication biometric access controls and proximity readers.

The GNOC utilizes customized state-of-the-art network monitoring software, combined with highly defined monitoring and escalation procedures to ensure the highest standards for security, reliability, performance and systems availability. The GNOC monitors the redundant network cores in all of our global nodes, as well as thousands of transit circuits on multiple levels. This ensures that service-level agreements are being met not only by the providers we connect to, but by Cloud Leverage when delivering service to our customers.
